:crybaby: It serves me right....

Was trying to fit my DVD/Stereo into the Aristo today and got a spark from the connectors.....

Since then i've noticed the button to open the boot has stopped working, the remote for the central locking isnt working (still ok by key) and the stock stereo (when i plug it in) is displaying text but not illuminating.

Checked the fuses under the bonnet in the box and they seem ok, also check the ones in the drivers footwell and they seem ok too.

Can anyone help? :help:

Are they the only two locations for the fuses. Have a look under the passenger side kick panel. Just a guess, but you know what jap cars are like.

Think im just gonna change all the fuses just for the hell of it - as i didnt notice any dead ones last night...but it was dark so may have just not noticed it.

Gonna pop to Toyota on my way back from this onsite job, grab a load of every type of fuse.

Been asking on LOC too and it looks like even once i get the problem sorted i will probably have the re-wire the whole car as aftermarket headunits dont work with the Toyota Amplifier :crybaby:

Oh well.....i'll get a nice cheap amp from somewhere and rewire it all in a weekend

Dude, the amps are usually pony.

Are they special fuses from Toyota?

17 Speakers is a LOT to re-wire.

Ok i found the fuse that had gone...was SRS fuse according to sticker on reverse of cover....which is strange as i dont have airbags and it affected the locks

Anyway all is back to normal but still scratching my head over this wiring.

Even spoken to Toyota about it but no luck.

Looks like im gonna have to ditch the amp in the boot and re-wire everything. So i'll need to buy a new amp to run the subwoofer.
