Hi Every One!

I have a Yaris 99, 1.0 it has done 46 thousand miles. Some time's my gear get stuck from Neutral to 1 gear and some times for reverse gear But it happen very rare like ONE's in a Ten.

I was thinking to change my gear oil. Should i change it? Which Gear Oil will be best for the Gear Box and how many Liter do i need to change it. THANKS....

yeah mine is like that some times, you cant find 1st or reverse

just lift the clutch and try again its a thing that wioll happen with most cars afaik its not a problem

sounds like the common trait of the gearbox

they can be tricky to drop into low gear, even worse when its cold, just lift the clutch and everything re-aligns

unless it starts getting really tough to get into gear, cruching, grinding etc. then it does sound reasonably normal!

Yeah. My 'vensis does it too... Usually when people are waiting for me to move! ;)

It's basically a safety feature to stop you going into 1st/reverse by accident, if it works when you release the clutch then press it again it's perfectly normal so nothing to be worried about.
