Farewell To One Of The Yarises (yarii?)

I'm going to be selling my Yaris in the next week or so and just wondered what it would be worth.

It's a 2001 Carlo Blue GS with colour coded bumpers & mirrors, been serviced every year by Mr.T, owned from new by my father-in-law then my wife and now me. It has alloys fitted (albeit cheap ones) and almost brand new tyres. I think the mileage is probably around 34,000 (it was 31,00 at the last service in August 05). The going rate seems to be £3,000 - £3,500, does that sound about right?

We'll still have the Caldera Red Yaris so I'll still be around now & again, but I'm replacing mine with a 1992 Honda CRX VTI (known as the Del Sol in the US)

The best bet is to check out the local news papers etc.

I have also found out that garages tend to offer around £200 less than the figures produced by these online guides

Mine was falling apart TBH - probably fell in the poor category

To many meetings with other car doors and stones  !

Also I just remembered that I had just taxed it for the year..... any idea if I can claim it back? Or shall I try and haggle some free stuff?

*just though I would ask

You forgot your glasses

But according to that guide I should have got £4000 for it at 40k however I had done 60k. I wonder how much that would knock it down to?

I hate buying cars :( well the money things lol

I suppose all that matters is I was happy with the price but Im deffo gonna get some free stuff

Cheers :)

It is a 51, the paintwork isn't great - it's got a few little scratches and chips (one big scratch on one door that's been touched up) but everything else is fine.

I'm still trying to decide if it's best to put the original Toyota CD player back or if people would prefer the fascia to add their own HU.

I may also have to sell my FLI Active Sub too :( Not sure if it'll fit/sound any good in the CRX.
