I know its a cheeky ***** request but my disks were suppose to be done before i set off but they aint arriving till tomorrow now...

My rear brakes are grinding and it sounds horrid!

If they arrive in the morning then i should be able to get em sorted and if not then i'll be grinding down to JAE

I cant promise beer but more J2O being t-total as I am.. :P

Been told the pads are fine all round and that the front disks are fine.

Only thing that needed changing is the disks... and even then it will depend on if they arrive before i leave.

Thanks to all the offers! And Rich... i know you would help out as well.

What tools do i need to bring? :baby:

You'r not gonna put new disks on and keep the old pads? I mean changing tham at JAE is neither here nor their but changing disks and not putting on new pads is not in my book. How old are your current pads ?

Giddlepin ? you going to talk to him

I'd change the pads at the same time too myself. Anyone know if the rear calipers are the sort where you have to wind the pistons in to retract them? Could well need the tool to retract them too if they are, definitely will if you're gonna change the pads too :P

If it's the type that needs the tool then they won't be getting done anyway ;) (Iain't got one  ) and if there is a grinding noise when he brakes that means metal to metal......Not good! :shutit:

Yep I was thinking that if there is a grinding noise then that's metal to metal and the pads are totally worn. I would not do that job without new pads anyway but it's worth checking, Fizz who told you the pads were fine, how long ago was this and did they actually look at the pads when making this statement?

Not sure what car you have but in my Gen6 Celi SS1 the pistons simply push back in, better include a G clamp too then for piston pushing.
