May I lay down a few facts.... Haynes manuals show correct procedures but are highly misleading in their descriptions. They leave out certain things which should be in, however, for the novice like myself they can be useful for undertaking simple tasks as the pictures are handy, but the descriptions are so misleading that they can be very annoying.

More facts... Earpl is from the middle of the peaks, so he's not quite normal, BUT he is a fully qualified engineer and the work he's done on my car has always been absolutley superb, and his knowledge of the car, mechanics and engineering on almost any machine is quite staggering, so he does know what he's talking about... even if it doesn't seem that way!

One more fact... Bee; I hope and pray to the highest of gods that I never have to sit next to you at a dinner party. A city-dwelling 50+ man who drives an automatic and speaks at length about the qualities of a Haynes manual, the use of the English language and the shortcomings of a 22yr old man. It would be like talking to one of the stars of 'Grumpy old men'. Go on fella... tell us a joke.
