Guests On Blogs

As a regular TOC blogger I've noticed recently an increase in guests posting on blogs....

Not a problem, except its all spam! Such as....

Is there anyway we can stop this? Its quite annoying as I enjoy reading peoples blogs and the comments - why should they get spammed?

Is there a way of not allowing guests to post comments on blogs?

If any spam is spotted it'll be removed, if any TOC Bloggers spot any spam comments on there blogs could they report it so it can be removed :D

Thats not the point though - its annoying! Shouldnt be allowed in the first place....

Well if its a sensible system, there should be an option to allow registered members only to post...

Failing that, just delete them if you spot them in your own blog...

and if spam is spotted it will be removed?... up until recently... you -really- needed to take a look at your blog Ryan lol.. :P spammed to the eyeballs :P

Cant be bothered checking right at the moment... so you may have exorcised the demons...

Have worked through the IP's and was started from a user on the board...

IPs arent all they are cracked up to be...

may well have been a user on forum.... but also NTL (and hence possibly Telewest) users share group IP addresses.. I have noticed this by IP tracking on GT

I just checked Blog Settings as this is where I disabled 'allow guest comments' so I didn't get any spam. Looks like Admin got there first though, so you shouldn't have any more problems.
