Stone Chip Repair By Mr T

Quick question really -

I Brought my car 3 months ago from Mr T and pointed out a stone chip to be repaired which was done - very shoddy mind you.

Noticed it today and it has started to rust - so can I get them to sort it out again as it was only repaired 3 months ago or will it have to come out of my own pocket :ffs: ?

Surely the work carried out would be guarantied for a certain period?

Also the car is still under manufacturers warranty (reg 04) if that helps?

I have no reciept or paperwork for the job however he made notes of this job on bit's of paper (inc the location of the chip) and Im sure they must have some paper work for it.

So can I claim for it or not and whats the best way to approach it?

 !

Hi Dave,

The warranty will not cover stone chips I'm afraid. However, if the dealership had repaired it properly in the first place, you shouldn't have any rust. I would take it back on these grounds rather than mentioning warranty because they will just say no.

It's worth a try.

Why did you accept the shoddy repair 3 months ago?
