Hi Guys

I have used the search function but i'm now even more confused??! I'm doing an oil change this week and want the best really. All sorts of grades/ brands are mentioned so could anyone give me a definitive answer?

What grade/brand is used in Toyota stealers does anybody know?

Thanks

Had mine serviced a few weeks ago!

Used 10w 40 Castrol GTX Magnatec, after some advice from the fella's on here.

Post should still be on here a few weeks back! Title is "Service Time".

Cheers

Iv recently changed to Castrol edge 0-30w fully synthetic (i believe this replaced Castrol RS as mentioned above). £42 for 4 litres from halfrauds. Top quality product tho! :thumbsup:

Hi all,

I've got my car booked in for a service with Mr T on Friday, and am considering supplying my own oil.

When I phoned around a few Mr T's in my area, it seems that most use Magnetec 10/40, though one said Magnetec 5/30.

I'm thinking that if I supply my own Oil, I'll probably use Magnetec 5/30 - though my mate has suggested even going for Mobil 1 0/40.

Any recommendations - what would be the best to use, and in what ways, if any, would I notice any difference.

My T-Sport is a Phase 1, on a 51 reg, but has been well looked after, and although its going in for its 50,000/5 year service, its only just coming up to 30,000 miles on the clock.

Also, with the 5/30 am I likely to need to top up more regularly - I know that it may well be the case if I use 0/40.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help. How many litres of oil will i need for the oil change?

http://www.yaris-ts.com/SPIP/spip.php?article14 ... Sorry, it's in French... :P

With Filter ---> 3.7l

Without Filter ---> 3.5l

I use 5W40 100% synthetic, on the Yaris Manual, we can read 5W30 but 5W40 it's a good choice I think... ;)
