Modding Your Car

Ok so after some recent posts and other stuff ive seen , what kind of things would you like your car to have on or be modified for you?.

Just wondering as after seeing a Gen 5 Celica totally screwed (mods such as total ice overdose..insurance co. would not go near you!!) ...what would you plant/want on yours.

Myself Id go for gen 5 GT4 with big engine rebuild. no interiror unless needed total track day car.

Agreed. At my age do i really want to listen to Max Bygraves at maximum volume through 26 Speakers 16 amps a brace of Subs........ I think not. Anyways, wouldn`t be able to hear what the engines doing. :D

I`ve almost got mine to where i want it. Just need to sort the interior a bit more and shave off a few more Kilos, Oh and maybe sort the suspension - but i`ll wait till they sort the roads first.

Well my next project was going to bea mkii celica supra, lexus V8, two turbos, no interior bar a roll cage, finished in midgnight purple with white mags.....

Only I have no money, so Leeky has kinda done it instead :P

I guess it depends. if it was my only car I'd not want to lose any creature comforts....

I'm not into my ICE either, engine modifications are top of my list!

In the space of a year I fancied fitting a turbo conversion, thought about the 1zz and its shortcomings then forgot about that idea. Then there was the 3SGTE conversion, that seemed awesome but the much heavier engine would have thrown off the superb balance that the MkIII has.

My latest “Wish” is for a 2zz conversion with a supercharger……Next week I might even put some petrol in if I can afford it :(

T180 engine in my Yaris although to handle the torque it would probably need the 4wd transmission too. And the engine would have to be in the rear as there's no way the bonnet's big enough :D

Im a 50/50 split...

I want her to go/stop/handle well, but I want her to look pretty too lol

So for me it would have to be bodykit, mebbe alloys(poss just get mine refurbed).. interior stuffs/ ICE...

Then I am still having nightmares over whether to go V6 or 3SGTE... whether to lower what I -know- is a fantastic handling car... what exhaust to have etc...

Fit front Speakers that actually work.

Ditch crappy lowering springs that make it handle worse than stock on anything apart from a billiard table. Consider proper coilover kit instead.

Uprate stuff when it breaks ;)

Fabricate airbox somehow (possibly with a big hole in the bonnet) to replace power sapping sock filters I've got now.

BGH close ratio gearbox.

Decent Quaife short ratio plate type LSD to replace the longer ratio'ed Sierra xr4i viscous type one I've got now.

Bigger cams, more power.

Catch up with a guy I know that was trying to stick a MINI Cooper S supercharger onto a 20v 4AGE and see if it ever worked. Copy it if it did.
