Metroid Prime Echoes on the Gamecube only works in 60Hz PAL too, so obviously won't work on an older 50Hz tv.

LOL, my new HD tv only runs at 50hz, not too bothered after reading 5 reviews of PES6 I'm gonna stick with PES5 as its backward compatible.

Could always get the VGA lead and play it on my monitor.

eh? if you have a HD-ready TV, it should run at 60hz Jappy...

I doesnt. You must get 50hz HD TV's because there is an update for this on the latest Xbox live download.

720p can be 25,30,50 or 60Hz I think :)

The 360 used to only ever output in 60Hz mode though. There are a few broken games around that check the regular PAL setting for refresh rate on startup and then refuse to work if its set to 50 even if you're in HD and so running at 60 anyway (confused yet?!) so you're best off setting the 360 to PAL60 before switching over to HD and forgetting about it.

Not sure, but I expect its the same as 720.

For some reason while a lot of the world is standardising on HD resolutions, everyone seems to be keeping the framerate they broadcast in from PAL / NTSC. So a PAL country like the UK will broadcast its HD stuff at 25 / 50, and an NTSC one like the US will use 30 /60. I have no idea why, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I had to change the output of my xbox from 50hz to 60 hz to run Pes 6.

Pes 6 is really good in my opinion.

My tv's ancient , cant see it being 6ohz but pes6 works..unfortunatly :P

Just got it chipped today as well , games £6 from now on :D wooyay

Might borrow a copy and see how it goes, all the reviewers say that the PS2 version of the game is best as the 360 version has lost loads of features!
