Hi all, I'm very new here :P

I'm in need of some advice regarding my Mrs' 2002 T-Sport which is completely standard besides a TTE rear box.

She is after an induction kit and foolishly I said I'd get her one for Christmas :ffs:

So far I have found 6 different kits! 2 K&Ns, 2 Pipercross, a Blitz and a Powertec... What I am wondering is which one do you guys reccomend?

I am leaning toward the standard 57i kit as she isn't after much in the way of power, just a nice fruity noise!

Also, while I'm here is there anything else to look out for? I noticed one member has complained of high fuel consumption, is this a risk when fitting a kit?

Thanks very much for your help, you could save my bacon here :D

hi,

i found that i got 2mpg more with the 57i kit fitted when driving in town traffic... but it uses more fuel when using the lift... but not loads more.

i averaged about 26mpg with mixed driving .

I would recommend 57i kit (I bought bert's) its brilliant - getting 29MPG.

The typhoon one does look flashier if you want to spend £80-100 extra I guess?

Just remove the snorkel pipe and fit a k and n panel filter.

Mine sounds as good as my old escort gti with a 57i kit. Panel filter costs around £45
