what clubs are around, where people appreciate standard cars as well as mods, what would be a good price for it in case i've been stiched (too late i know i've bought it) and other than the head gasket (being replaced as i speak) are ther other common faults oh and is it as rare as it appears. Ta.

I just build an engine from the ground up and fitted it... So I'd hope I know a thing or two about them!!!!!

A lot of the 1G people seem to be congregating on my forum for some reason... they are also very hot on the 1G on the aussie Toymods forum

Not too many 2.0TT aeros about... is it Jays old grey one? Narrow or wide body? auto or manual?

Hi it's a black narrow body imported in 1999 not used since 2001 in v/good condition and standard apart from the wheels, even the wife likes it

Hi it's a norrow bodied black targa imported around 1999 but not been used since 2001. Do you have any idea of it's worth. i think i will keep it as original as possible.

Bugger.... another one like mine.... That makes about 5 now in the uk. Is it rare manual? I assume its a facelift one (late '88 to late 89).

As for what its worth... who knows... I was offered £5k for mine about three years ago before I did all the work on it, but naturally declined, the rarity its its biggest asset. It also depends a lot on the condition of the car.

yep it's a manual bought it with a knackered head gasket for £800. only bought it coz i saw it at my mates capri workshop and i thought it was a 3ltr. Can't wait to drive it (if i can get it off the wife!!!!!) B)

Well it makes up for the 12grand i spent during my capri days that then got nicked after being on top gear, do you guys meet up any where on regular bassis. :(

Different regions meet at different times, the biggest meet of the year by far is JAE (Fri 20th - Sun 22nd Jul) where all the Jap clubs in the UK and Europe get together at Peterborough East Of England Showground and get pished...

It's a weekend not to miss with a bit of everything, if you want to look at cars theres everything there, if you want to socialise and bbq get your tent out, i started in '03 with the first TOC venture there havent missed one since (my holiday form for the next year goes in when i get back from the year before :D

age group on toc is between 18 and hmm whose the eldest member here now, must find the age poll :D

You'll find TOC doesn't give a dma how old peeps are at all, most of us are as mad as the next and all seem to get on without a prob...

Think if I remember rightly MK has regular meets anyways which a few TOC member go to...

We've had a few Midlands-type meets in the Oxford area recently which would incorporate MK.... I'm only up in Rugby so not far from you, I'm sure we can arrange something local sometime in the New Year....

To be honest, most of us just travel to meets we want to go to, its not set to regions - all are welcome wherever!

not had chance to take any picked car up and took straight to my local jap specialist, she's very clean no rot dents and only a couple of minor scratches and looks pretty good
