What Happened

I took my brothers Yaris today because my car was blocked in.

The fuel gauge was on two bar before I started the car, when I tried to set off at the traffic lights (two blocks away) the car stalled in the middle of a busy road. I couldn't push the car back up the hill.

The engine just turned and turned, after about twenty minutes I finally managed to start the car again and the fuel gauge was flashing

With my Yaris I could get around 30-40 miles when its flashing.

Could something else be wrong with the car, there nothing like a manual fuel pump.

Could it just be because its on a hill and gravity and all that?

^^^ that is not as silly as it sounds!!! I had the same thing happen in that w anking machine of an FTO I had a bit back... in the end I took a big run up to the hitt and managed to splutter it to the top
