Rattling Noise When Coming Off The Clutch On 1st And 2nd Gear

hi everyone,

i've recently started experiencing a rattling noise coming from my Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit when i'm coming off the clutch after putting it on first or second gear. I'm not sure if the noise is coming from the clutch or if its the gearbox.

It's not a rattling noise that comes from the manifold, which i am aware of and i did have that problem in the past but the warranty fixed that. My gearbox also had a noise issue about 4months ago and it was reconditioned.

So i am not sure if the noise is actually coming from the gearbox or the clutch. The noise only comes as i am coming off the clutch.

has anyone experience any similar problems?

I've also got a 1.6, and I've got a whine more than a rattle from the clutch. It started with about 3k on the clock. It only occurs when the car is in 1st or 2nd gear, and only when the clutch is released. Took it in to Toyota last week, and they claim it's coming from the gear box. It's not detrimental (again they claim) so I'm having it looked at when the car has it's first service, probably in March.

i think its the idler bearings/gears. mine does it but only at <1000RPM
