Tends to be horses for courses. The main factors to consider in my opinion are the size you want and what you are going to connect to it. The size because plasmas only start at about 32" and therefore smaller would have to be LCD and what you are connecting to it because, if you want to connect a PC to it, plasmas have been known to exhibit screen burn where the ghost of a still image can be seen on the screen if the image is stationary for long periods (like a PC screen). I personally have bought a LCD recently, but only because of the screen burn issue.

Happy shopping!!

plasma tv's can break easily because of the way they are made, I think they have tubes behind the screen so if you brake one of the tubes they cannot be replaced it's a new tv, as with anything they will take a certain amount of force before they break, but you may be better off with a LCD

But LCD's you may have trouble viewing from certain angles, but the screen is softer so less likely to break. (I don't know if you have ever pushed on a lcd screen with your finger) May be more childproof than a plasma

Plasma TVs are way better than LCD ..... you just have to go to Currys to see the difference in picture quality.

Of course they will cost you more than the LCD equivalent but the screen seems to be more delicate than LCD.

Panasonic Plasma dont have the screen burn issue.

Some LCDs are slow when there is a lot going on. eg Sports, Gaming, Action Movies
