Hi again,

Well i got my wheels, new pics up soon.

And I went to get my new head unit... It doesnt fit!!!!

its too big

I tried fitting it into the bit at the bottom at my dash where the custom ones meant to fit. But its too big to fit in.

So I now need a new head unit... any ideas? Im wanting to spend around £250 and it has to have mp3.

Ive also been told that if i got a DVD unit that the sound quality would be better.

is this true|?

I presume you're fitting it with the new fascias (The toyota one), and not in the coin tray?

i have the old kenwood in atm. which i put in

i sized it up and the plastic attached to the dash gets in the way.

Yeah this is the case with a few DVD players with a larger front panel then DIN size. It should fit fine if you relocate it to a fascia so it isn't below the existing tape player! And for £250 u can get a lot of HU!!! Also a DVD HU alone wont sound better but you could fit more songs of a higher quality on it. However if the Unit itself isn't as good as a normal MP3 Cd HU it wont automatically be better quality!

thanks for the advise - but really not sure what u mean about the fasica thing.

you mean i could put it in the tape player bit instead?

Basically you buy a part that replces the tape player from toyota and it takes out old tape player and replaces it with two holes a coin tray and your new HU space! Search for a post from ryan1985 about what parts u need!

Yeah with the fascia's (RAV4 insert which is an autoleads part bought from any car audio shop and then the outer bit is a toyota part) it should look like this

If you do a search you can find out all the part numbers etc. May work out cheaper and less hassle then forking out again...and it looks better :P
