Wiper Blades

Been looking to replace both front Wiper Blades on 2005 Yaris.

After measuring I've found driver to measure 20" & passenger 13". However, on most web sites they have the drivers at 21" & passenger at 15".

I assume they may have been replaced/swapped before I bought the car ( main dealer ) or perhaps they are correct for a CC Yaris.

Can anyone confirm this??

Mine was 21" and 13" when new (I think).

I certainly fitted a longer passenger blade when replacing it as I couldn't buy one short enough....

Certainly 21" and 15" work OK on my Yaris.

I'd absolutely wholeheartedly recommend PIAA Silicone wipers. They cost more (you'll probably need to mail order them..).

I have a relative who's always sworn by them and I ignored him for years, but I swapped my Alfa 156 over last year and was so impressed that I rushed out and did the Yaris just one week later.

Absolutely brilliant vision in heavy rain compared to any other blade.....

phase 1 yaris blades are 1" longer than the phase 2

you can get the blades from Toyota, cost about £8-£9 for the 2 front ones. Works out similar price to Bosch ones.

PIAA would be worth the extra money,

I use on mine 21" on the driver side and 18" on the passenger side.

This are the maximum sizes you can fit.

I use maximum sizes possible because: "More area cleanded, better visibility you have!".

Now, any wiper smaller than 21" for driver or 18" for passenger will fit. It's your choice.

Are you sure 18" on passenger side will be OK? I thought I may be pushing it at 15"!

What is the cost difference for PIAA & what site do you purchase from?

Like you, I can't believe that an 18" blade will fit, as there's only a small gap between the two and I've only a 21" and a 15" blade fitted....

I usually get my PIAA blades from www.speeding.co.uk. price seems as good as anywhere and free postage....

Oh hang-about...

Littlem@n's in Bucharest, so his car will be LHD. The wipers could be fixed differently and the LHD models might have different gaps between the two spindles, allowing bigger blades.....
