Fiddly Key Insertion Into Ignition Barrel

Hi,

just got the brand new Corolla Friday. Very happy overall. :)

However putting in the key into the ignition barrel is a real pain, sometimes frustrating, and is no smooth operation. :( Tried some WD40 in the barrel which seems to improved the situation but not cured it. Is this normal ? Is a barrel change possible without changing also the key ? Otherwise would have to change also the car door barrels to have one kep all round right ? I hope I'm wrong !

Your advise appreciated. :)

If it doesn't seem right just take it back :thumbsup: !

Don't worry about it if there is a problem with it as they will sort it out for you and you won't have to pay a penny :thumbsup:

I agree. If it's brand new I'd be straight back to the dealer and let them sort it out under warranty :)
