honestly - please dont get air suspension.......its mince.

Get some decent adjustable coil-overs (Tein maybe) and put up with a bit of scrubbing for the improved looks.

get some 16" rims with 195/45 tyres and that will take you off the ground a few more mm, also teins ajustable coilovers cost £517 and are probably cheaper than airbag suspension and are height ajustable somewhere between standard car height and 80mm lowering.

When fitting the carzone kit it states it should be lowered 40mm anyway.

Make sure you get the right offset wheel then you will have no problem whatsoever, wrong offset and it will scrub.

get them from either envy performance or demon tweeks. I got mine from tweeks because I could get them on finance and their service was pretty good.

But if you've got the money i'd recommend getting them from envy as theire service is much better.

you'll have to give them a ring to order them, their website is

envyperformance.com

your better off speaking to Kevin or Gareth.

The coilovers are ajusted by spanners, but you'll get much better handling than with the airbag suspension.

If you had airbag suspension it would be many times worse than it is now

Is your car lowered at the minute? Im going to assume it is.

If you want to make your car higher why buy coilovers or air bags? Thats not what theyre for. Why not just put your standard springs back in again or get some -25mm or -30mm springs if the ones you have in now are -40 or more? Or even put your standard springs back in? Coilovers on their highest setting will still be lower than standard. You dont need coilovers or airbags, they would not offer a solution.

At the end of the day you drive a kitted car which im assuming is lowered, what did you expect?

Live with it like everyone else, avoid pot holes and speed bumps, and dont put people in the back

I know that. I didnt lower my car, that is the last thing i would do. Trust me those are the original springs, thats why im having such a hard time here

Take the carzone kit off and get a better looking one which doesnt touch ground?!

Cheapest and best way mate!

If the front splitter is what's hitting the ground then bigger wheels is the answer like i said! Will put it on stilts :P Or if it is only when people are in the car, stiffer coilovers set to top height may also help as mine certainly doesnt sag now on coileys!

If your on standard springs they sag like fck when people get in, thats probly why you cant take many people. If your got some TTE springs they would lower the car a little, but they would be stiffer so with people in the car they wouldnt sag as much and the car may end up higher.

Other than that, bigger wheels or different bumper.

Or just live with it, my car scobes some speed bumps and stuff, so i just tend to avoid them if i can and i keep an eye out for potholes when im driving an just go round them.

Hey there, this may be a stupid answer or a stupidly obvious one but if your happy with the ride height and everything else is fine appart from when people are in the car....

Just get Stiffer Springs!!

That means that the ride height will be the same as it is now (or a bit lower if you want) but the springs will squash less per amount of weight in the car.

I'd suggest getting a set of T-Sport Springs as they will be stiffer and just a touch lower so you shouldn't have a problem.

Brad =)

hey

www.rayvernhydraulics.com

They cost approx £1500 fitted.

I think its a combination of the airbags and the 18s that affect the ride.

Theres a thudding noise from the bags as u drive, (as they do their job), but that can

be covered over with a bit of music.

u do notice a difference with the car at first being the driver but u get used to it.

Passengers dont seem to notice anything.

if u want any more info or fancy a test drive in mine let me know.

just to let u know i dont regret having them fitted, they r loads of fun. :D

What changes did you have to make to your car to fit the 18s?

Is the full steering lock still there?

Do you get problems with your air suspension and is it easy to use?

so many questions lol

Take the f**king hideous kit off and modifiy it properly.

Carzone, airbag, bad-boy etc etc ... All words which should be included in the swear filter. They ruin nice cars. Airbag's are for safety, not suspension. It ruins the ride in every way possible. You will crash and bump over everything, even pebbles. Your car will handle like a boat with monumental understeer as the grip is seriously reduced.

If you really have to keep the hideous thing then fit bigger wheels or just learn how to drive and avoid the bumps. Simple really whe you think about it.
