Hi,

I need new summer tyres for the Verso, and I was thinking, there is no point in buying new tires for old steel wheels. So, I was thinking of some 15" 3-split wheels from BBS, either a set of RMs or a set of RSs. Has anyone got pictures of how it will look on a Yaris?

Post up a piccy of a side on view of your car.. and a piccy of the wheels and you might find someone with good photoshop skills will show you roughly how it will look

Yes, a digital modification will be my plan B, but I would prefer a real picture over a digital one. However, some of these lads manage to make really realistic pictures. We'll see, but I had hoped to find something useful here first :P

Does anyone know if this is a wheel usually fitted on a Yaris? I get the impression most Yaris drivers buy large, sometimes cheap replica, wheels and prior bodykits over good wheels?

Most yaris drivers i know have 15 inch or sometimes 16 inch wheels, usually a quality japanese make. Also most yaris drivers i know arent into ugly bodykits, more quality stuff like booster, c-one etc.

The wheel your talking about is what UK people would call a euro style wheel, euro style is the style that cars are mainly done up in where you live im sure, but uk yaris drivers tend to go for jap/jdm style wheels like buddy club, 5zigen, rota etc so i dont know if anyone would have pics.

I do think the BBS's will look sweet though, so be sure to post pics if you get them so i can drool

Yes, it was an exaggeration.

The marques you mention are okay regarding finish, but they are not very true JDM wheels. Yes, Rotas are very light and strong, but 5Zigen and Buddy Club are two marques I connect with more "jap", less quality. There are very many proper JDM wheels out there too, Work has done some extremely cool wheels, the Equip 03s for instance. I have planned to run those on my next Daihatsu, in 15x7s ET38.

Euro wheels are not really "the rage" or anything in Norway, most modifiers are comforted with silver mesh grilles and TSW wheel designs, nothing I like to use on my car. Although, I don't feel the Yaris is so Japanese, as the European Yaris is built in France and feels a bit Euro, I don't think European (German) wheels would look out of place.

I really want some BBS RS 15x7s with 165/45 tyres to go along with them. I just have to source them first, which is not easy. After all, the usual modifier around here can sell me a blue steering wheel and some red seat covers, if I am lucky I might even get some cut springs. No thanks :P

Yeah, works are cool. I just sort of mentioned the first jap style makes that popped into my head for an example.

I think the shape of the yaris really suits euro style, and i reckon your car would look class with the BBS's. I did see a really low smooth yaris 3 door with BBS style wheels once, but i dont know where i saw the picture. I can tell you it looked good though  Try googling "euro yaris" or "bbs yaris" or something you might get a result there are pics out there somewhere.

Im glad to see you want to mod your car with quality stuff, theres too many "modifiers" these days with tacky kits and tacky wheels and just..... tacky everything!

And dont even get me started on the cut springs! the amount of cars you see bouncing along the road in Ireland is unreal, the police have even started randomly ordering modded cars to the mot centre for spot checks to check for this. My car is lowered properly of course, i dont have a death wish
