Giving The Interior A Solid Feel...

My dad has a golf GT TDi, and well frankly his interior ***** on the yaris interior. Tbh im not all that bothered, however the door panels do annoy me alot. Is there anyway to give them more a solid feel or appearance. For example when my legs hit the panels they bend slightly, I dont like that, and they rattle ---> Annoying.

Im worrying about this because I sell sound systems and next month im fitting my car with over £4000 of equipment as a demo car. Im gonna do my best to stop the rattling, but when you have a top of the range JL Audio/MB Quartz/Phoenix Gold equipment set in the car, thats going to savage the panels no matter what i can do, so i need your help.

probably the best way to stiffen the door panels would be to fibreglass the insidesof them and possibly add some ribbing to them to increase the strength.

as for stopping them rattling, it is more difficult due to the strenght of the clips that hold the door cards in.

it means you can't get a 100% tight fit, but i'd suggest either foam strips between the door card and the door or if you wanted to seal it better you can get a rubbery double sidded tape that is similar to window sealent but better, i will try find out the name tomorrow.

post up some pics as soon as you start, would be great to see how you are going to do it.

BTW if you sell sound systems can you do any good deals on equipment as i will be investing in some quality vry soon.

Brad =)
