Hi again everyone. The problem that im having at the moment is that once my car is going over 25mph there is a strange whistling noise coming from the wing mirrors. Ive done a search on here and found that its quite a common problem that can be easliy fixed. The problem i have is im not sure where im to put the tape or draft excluder. I was wondering if anyone could post a picture of what im supposed to do. There was one link that i found but the link for the pictures wouldn't load. Any help would be great, thanks once again guys for reading this, you've been really helpful, Cheers Chris

Common problem with the yaris, cant be solved unless you get new mirrors! lol

Yeah it can :P You put foam in the gap! I'm pretty sure you fold the mirror back and put it where the mirror closes to the foldy bit (this is the part that makes the whistling noise, specially if wet!)

There is a Toyota Servive Bulletin that covers this.

As woody said it just introduces some draught excluder strip to the fold gap to stop the wind whistling.

You could, of course just whistle along with your Yaris.................keep in tune!! ;)

The foam should be put on the fold gap of the mirror housing (fold your mirror in to the door).............NOT in the gap between the mirror glass and the housing.

Little things like that are annoying, you would have though the designers would have recognised things like that before putting it on sale,

Thanks for your help guys. Ive now sorted them(fingers crossed) buy cutting the edge off an old wiper blade. Its just the right size to fit the gap perfect. You cant even see that its there. Thank you once guys for all your help, Cheers Chris.
