Whenever it stops raining, I can make a start again.

We got it out... carried it a good 10metres. On top of a wall higher than our waists, then up another little bit. It's now sitting outside my front door.

Bluddy hell these things are heavy!! lol.

Engine is very, very nearly ready to get out the rx7 now.

Rico is a brave man for letting you put an engine in his boot! Well messy.

Yes Jim but when are you looking to do the job, and I think we are ideally looking for a van to move item. Even when it is stripped down it is not fitting in a car I think, will have another look tonight and post back.

Finally got it out!! :)

The only real problem was the Downpipe!! I don't know if it was just because mine is a Uk car with pre-cat, but there was no way it was getting past the gearbox!!

We had to take the dp off while the engine was in mid-air.

I would also not recommend hiring a HSS hoist! The thing is unsafe. On a flat surface one leg is off the ground! The thing wanted to topple with the wieght of the engine!! I had to get my step father to stand on the side of the hoist to stop it toppling!!

I'm gona complain and kick up a stink and see what I can get out of them. :)

Now I have to swap the bits from one block to the other and get it back in. :D

PS : this was done in the pouring rain!!!

All done on the street!! Hardcore!?!?!... lol

I know! It's mad... lol.

Gonna start work on it tomorrow morning. :)

PS : If I don't make any more posts, it's because I'm dead with pneumonia (sp) or something after being out in the rain all day.

It's suprisingly not that bad. Not that complicated tbh. The only bit is is the turbo system with all the vac hoses. The rest is reasonably straight forward.

Should be done for you being here tho. Saying that, it will need remapped because of the mods I'm putting on, so won't be able to boot it.

Last time I was in a car with you was in your MR2 booting her from a standing start on the bridge out towards TweedBank, remember all the blood getting sucked up out of my legs it was that fast! That MR2 rocked!

It should see me another 30 or 40K miles easily.

Put it this way, when it dies... I won't be scared to rip it out.

Nice to see progress Jim, That lift seems the same as the one I got, but the legs are straight, are you sure you put the legs on the right way round...lol

If you got mine I would also have given you a pop up gazeebo which may help with the rain... Would not be as cool street stylee though...

Yeah, legs are on straight. Or I hope so... lol. They're on the way they were when I got it. They're bringing me another one on Monday... muppets!! It was well dangerous!

Pop up gazeebo?? I was actually thinking of getting one from work, but I thought it might blow away.

It would make sense to tbh, but the old one is ok just now.

I'm a bit skint at the mo, so it'll just have to wait until it's needed.

If it's not raining, I'm gonna go start swapping the bits from the old block to the new one.

PS : If I can do this sorta stuff, anyone can!
