How much travel expense shall i claim? I did 30mi

The standard is 40p/mi but i was originally told it would be a bit more than standard lol how much?

40p is the standard payment for the use of your car.

It doesn't include any allowance for your time. So ideally you should get on top of the standard rate, the £35/hr * length of time it took you to travel.

In addition to the payment for the hours worked while you were on site.

the equipment was provided so the £35 was for my time

I meant that they could have paid for your travelling time, on top of your motoring costs,

but sounds like you got a good deal anyway, so best not to push it too far :)

you will get 40ppm for the first 10,000 miles then 20ppm after that(Only if you travel in your own vehicle and not a hired car or company vehicle) + time to travel(depends on your contract)

camera op. On the night in question i was freelancing for grimsby college filming the FE awards night. I got offered a contract with Bristol Council for £280 per day between 4 and 8 hours a day, but i don't got my own kit :(

i didn't charge time traveling cause it was only local lol still puts some pennies in my pocket. Can't wait till i got a steady income though

If its a council then charge em 4 quid a mile youth!

Nobody is accountable for costs in councils/government as they know they get a endless stream of cash from us taxpayers whatever happens!
