Thing is, my motor is your typical staight out the box, still wearing its hub caps, its the 5 door liftback, so it aint a flyer or out super special, (apart from the fact its my much loved and cherished shiny blue baby! ) I want to go to look at motors, and try and convince the girlfriend we need an mr2 more than a house-like that will work? but I dont want mycar to feel out of place, cos its very sensitive (bit like.. I have a friend who was wondering).

Views anybody?

JAE is about a cluyb presence, not the most modified car there, the winner of the TOC show last year was a completely standard MR2.

Everyone is welcome at this event from the cheapest oldest, rustiest car in the club to the biggest most modded monster, it's about the people.

Last year we parked up, sorted the cars out to make the stand look good then concentrated on the important things, having a laugh, introductions and having a monster giggle, girlfriends were there and thoroughly enjoyed it as its the atmosphere with the people in the club that count.

Your guarenteed a laugh and a good chance to meet people in the club and get to know them and if the weathers good they have a jet ski lake and a go-kart track, didnt get to go jet-skiing last year but will defo go this year (weather depending) and we went go-karting for a giggle....

Your guarenteed a good time.

Billing hold car shows thru the summer.. from ford, Vaux and Americana

JAE is Japanese Auto Extravaganza where all the jappy boys put on a show.

I missed it last year because I had to go back home to Scotland that weekend but I'm defo going this year.. I have my tent ready and I'm bringing the girlfriend.

Hopefully my MR2 will be how I want it by then!

WEll I'll deffo deffo deffo be going!!!!!!!

I'll even have a roof this time round...

and a shiney engine  hope to get the car looking a lot cleaner for this year :D

I'm thinking to look at trying to have my own stand, as the supra boys (and both girls) were kind of scattered about hap hazzardly like lost souls.

Then again I enjoyed it so much with TOC last year, think I'd rather join you guys  was a proper newbie and everyone made me feel really welcome ;) thanks again to Ken for the lifesaving car cover :D

Anyone who didn't go last year I seriously recomend it :) Everyone is welcome, and more importantly they FEEL welcome!

Ryan you still got that vid???? :D

if i remember rightly, the most "Modded" car was that uuuuugly orange supra that had just been raped to buggery....

so modded isnt always good!

and as for ryans stand organisation. stick an extra 5er of petrol in to compensate :P

Knowing his driving at the southern mini meet - he probably got lost reversing the car into it's space.

Dave,

Most of us go for both days.

With some mad ones making a long weekend of it. Camping etc. :group-cuddles:

Travel Inn etc get booked up months in advance (if you want to sleep at night).

It is a great time (don't know about the opinions of those not into cars though). You get to meet those you usually only speak to online.

There is always a great selection of cars and the atmosphere is good too. *thinks back to singing in the rain.

I think a few meets on the Main Motorways to London and then a big meet on the first Services up the M1 from the M25 would be good.

I'm on the M4 ..
