5,600 miles and the first problem has arisin with my T180. The front passenger seat has developed an anoying creak when someone is sitting in it. Very irritating when driving on any road or cornering apart from a smooth motorway. Must track this down or my hearing will suffer with anthems being played at full belt.

Thats unlucky!

Just fit a custom made chair in your Auris for olny 480 euro & all your troubles are gone.

It'is very difficult for carmakers, to design a chair to fit million different people sizes. By all these compromises designflaws will surface. The Auris has complete new chairs with haven't been proofen yet in.

I fitted the a serie 203 A-S-S chair in mine & never want a standard chair anymore B) http://www.assautostoelen.nl/203Serie.htm

Have you discussed this matter with your dealer?

Yes, The told me that the framework connection of the crosswires under the seat had some moevement in them . therefore they were wearing out on small places against the framework. The lower part of the seat had to be replaced. So no problem and under warranty. But on the question if Toyota had made any modifications, the answer was a disappointing "No". So the change of these problems repeating themselfs was too big for me ( I drive a lot) & I replaced the chair with a custom.

That sounds reassuring

I haven't heard of any other cases of this and neither had my dealer when questioned.

Guess we'll just have to wait for defects and re-calls to show up, although In the two weeks of ownership i have been very impressed in the overall build quality of the vehicle - much better than the mk4 golf gti i part-ex'd for it. (which really surprised me)
