Celebrating posts counts is a hollow victory because of that thread. A monkey can type one word replies, it doesn’t mean it contributes anything substantial to the forum.

I wonder if the posts made in 'The Word Association Thread' didn’t go towards the posts counts if it would be as busy, I think not

Me too, it's an absolutely pointless statistic & I find it embarrassing when people post crap clearly just to build it up. I don't mind the word association or some other similar random threads as sometimes when it's a slow day in work it relieves the boredom that little bit & also gives newcomers the chance to get involved. If people think it's important & want to build it up though who am I to judge?

I propose to keep the ‘Word Association Thread’ open but if possible every post made on it subtracts from your post count. Then watch it die a slow and painful death

My night has been anything but fun...

it started off with cuastomers buying all my pear cider, then one of our lovable idiots came in, dialed the police (999) straight away due to them being barred for robbing 17 pint cans last week...stole 8 cans of carlsberg and a big bottle of lambrini...the police come in and say they are searching for him, came in a few hours later, stole two 24 packs of stella but brought one back, and a bottle of lambrini, then half hour later he steals two more cases of stella and two big bottles of alcopop. then he stayed in the shop while i was on the phone to the police, who "were in the area and will be with you within 2 minutes" they turned up 20 mins later, saw the lad cause he was on the front, then he did the silly thing by kicking a copper in.

Speaking to my mate he said it sounds like i have depression or stress or summat lol i dunno i know i just wanna cry because of all the ***** and not go in anymore
