First Service

Just had the first service done on my T-Spirit (D-4D 2.0). The local dealer hadn't seen to many yet!!

One thing that did come up was the wear on the front tyres. It seems particularly heavy to me (they're both down to just under 4mm, and wear is consistent across the tyre).

I've always had fwd cars, but I've never come across quite that level of wear in 10,000 miles. I'm not that heavy a driver, and most journeys are "the 18 mile work run" along a dual carriageway, cruising at about 65.

What's anyone else's experience?

(ftr - the wheels have been swapped round as the rear tyre wear was light. So it's likely at 20,000 all 4 tyres will need replacing).

My Corolla T Sport Front Tyres are down to 4mm too after only changing them last October and I haven't managed 10k miles yet.

Guess there's heavy wear on Newer FWD Toyota's for front tyres.
