I remember the days when I used to PDI them, you had to fit the carpets and seat belts etc at PDI. Wheel trims were wrapped in copies of some Japanese newspaper, aah those were the days!

Octagon Toyota (reading) were having a stock clear out, they binned a load of RA-28 parts, wings, boot lids suspension... I thougt it was criminal to distroy a stash of discontinued car parts :(

-they could have at least just stuck them on eBay

I have had a lifetime of surplus parts and stocks, in latter years we have used eBay, and for specific parts like lamps and panels, eBay is little more than useless. I use it to sell surplus stocks of accessories, but the problem is, if your looking say for a left hand wing, your not going to buy a bonnet if you come accross one, and that applies to most parts, especially as you get towards a dwindling model like an RA28. You would think there was a market for these surplus stocks, but I can assure you, it is very small

im wondering now is it worth the wile gettin one to restore if parts are hard to get.... the ae86 is gettin to be like the same!

If the car is for fun, go for it. There are numerous owners clubs who can track down rare parts for all sorts of cars. You'll increase your social circle for sure.

If you intend to rely on the car for getting to and from work, it might be worth having a back up plan.
