Wing Mirror Whistle

Now there are some more owners around here i thought i'd ask again if anyone suffers from wing mirror whistle.

In my T180 if i go above about 55mph i start to get a high pitched and very definite whistle coming from my wing mirror which gets louder with speed. If i fold my mirror into the car this noise stops. If i put my hand in the gap between the car and the mirror the noise also stops. I have had foam fitted to the cavity and its still there.

Anyone had this problem and if so did your dealer manage to fix it?

Thanks

This is a known main dealer problem. Get it booked in for this problem and they will solve it for you....it might involve a 40g wheel weight. :D

Have to admit I haven't noticed it yet, the passenger side dashboard and underside noises are probably downing out any other noises! ;o)

I'm off to see Mr Toyota on Saturday so let's hope he's all clued up!
