Failed My Mot

120k service went fine

MOT went great needed a side light, reg plate light, handbreak adjusting

other than that it was spot on

gave the garage my new Sports Cat to fit but they were unable to fit it as the piping after the sports cat is about 2cm bigger than my powerflow piping

so they were unable to fit it as they are just a garage and didnt have the needed sleeves and piping to fit it

so they tested it with the decat and it was running 0.5% when it needed to be running 0.3% to pass

not that bad considering it had no cat

tomorrow i will have to drive the car to powerflow to get the sports cat put in and then take the car up to durham to get it retested

lets hope i dont get pulled over! but there really is no other way to get the car fixed

Got rid of the flat spot yet?

Why does anyone take a vehicle for a MOT without checking/replacing any lights first? It's the most obvious things to check.

Plus, whenever you were out on the road you were driving illegally due to your car having defective

lighting - if known.

Totally! A 5 minute walk-around at most, less time if you have a helper.

Hope the service guy pays any fine you get from light defects.Never trust any one else to look after your potential fine/points on licence checks.

but yea ill check them all next time if it makes you happier in knowin im not guna get fined haha

wick of the flat spot mind cause its still not gone away theres just no power till about 2500rpm--3000rpm :(
