My clutch creaks quite loudly both ways, when i depress it, and also when i lift my foot off it. No problems with the actual gearchanges though. Whats the deal with that?

Possibly the clutch pedal mechanism in need of some lubrication?

As above or clutch master cylinder if noise inside cabin/bulkhead and clutch pivot arm if noise around gearbox.

I had the same problem with my Corolla - went in a few times to get it sorted but they fixed it eventually

I had the clutch master cylinder changed and a few other bits and pieces

I had creeking of the pedal...pushed the seat back to get a bit of room an sprayed up onto the linkage, that was months ago no creeks since.

i remember people saying stuff on here about release bearings a while ago and thats why i thought id ask, but i dont know if thats what this is as i think the release bearing squeaks and this is definitely a creak lol.

also ive experienced no problems with actually using the clutch so i dunno.

ill give it a go with the oil first anyway

Can you 'feel' the squeak, if you know what I mean? You could try greasing it first, then replacing the clutch master cylinder, but I reckon it'll just disappear in time as the parts that are catching smooth off.
