Not worth the cost and aggro - if you wanted a sunroof you should have got a model with one... aftermarket sunroofs never work.

As someone who has fitted many after market sunroofs to a variety of makes of car i can tell you it's not a good idea,i would not disfigure my car with one, they are rubbish and it will leak and creak eventually, the only ones that work properly are flush fitting electric ones like my 92 Corolla had as standard, they have drainage pipes in each corner.

Britax make 2 sizes and they are supposed to fit every car made but they look !Removed! awful because they bend the roof to fit the sunroof frame, not a good idea, if you have air con why would you want a hole in your roof?

Chris.

Buy an 05 yaris T spirit.

They have a sunroof as standard.

Hi,

I've read an article in Autoexpress a few months ago and a guy tried to put a sunroof in his new yaris mk2 version however he was told it was not possible due to how the new yaris is built the sunroof may intrude into the safety structure cell. i.e there are 2 bars going across the roof of whicH one is place furhter forward i.e above drivers head hence sunroof was not able to fit.

Like Rayburn said , better to have a yaris with sunroof as standard.

Why do you want a sunroof anyway when you already have air-con? if you don;t mind me asking

Should you be able to put a sunroof in, the roof would be weakened immediately as a) the roof now has ot support additonal weight i.e. galss and also b)if not properly done, you would get water dripping onto headliner which is b1) a pain to remove, b2) expensive to replace if damaged in anyway of if you make a bad job cutting hole in it to fit sunroof.

Another thing is, manual sunroof, how and where would tHe opening and closing mechanism be fitted?

All the best!
