Tsport Service Costs

My Tsport is due its 4 year service,

its had the last 3 done at Toyota main dealers, so i decided to keep it that way.

I've done 23000 mile now :D thats alot of miles for me

Anyway i called the dealership in wolverhampton where i got the car from,

enquired about the cost of the 4 year service.........£240

so after reading the thread over in yaris about how much the cost can differ,

i then called the dealer in stourbridge, where it was serviced last year.........£188

thought thats alot better.

When i came from work today, i planned on calling them back and booking it in,

i couldnt find the phone number, so googled Toyota GBs website for my local service centres.

While looking through the list it gave me, i saw a Toyota service centre number,

so i called it and...............£133

They are not a showroom service centre like the other 2, but are Toyota approved.

So i'm booked in for thursday :D

It really surprised me just how much a difference there is in pricing for the same service ;)

In theory, and I stress in theory, All prices would be the same, apart from variable labour charges x £ per hour, and oil costs x £ per 1Ltr, however, as the car gets older, certain things like brake fluid change and coolant changes are "recommended" Some centres only quote the basic service price, others will include the recommended items also. You should 1) Always ask what you are paying for IN WRITING. 2) Ask if that is the best price and dont be afraid to haggle 3) Go elswhere if they can't accomodate a simple discount, its a buyers market.

So where is the Toyota service centre Kimi?

Its in wolverhampton , Broxwood toyota

Kingo- i made sure i asked all 3 what they did on the 4 year service,

they all said the same, oil / fluid / water / plugs /

Really i only wanted the stamp in my book, as i could have had it done at work.
