Lift Bolts

i've just been down me mates garage getting some torque settings - he printed all the settings of autodata and there isnt one listed for the lift bolts! does anyone know the correct setting as mine come on friday.

Hi there! when you have sorted this lift bolts prob! could you please let me know what torque settings are and pics if poss of the actual bolts as i want to do mine but unsure of how many bolts are there? and wich bolts they are?

thanks for that but there is no torque settings there - all there is is someone thinks he torqued to 10 - 15 kn!!?? i think they meant nm but 5 nm is a big difference. anyone know for sure??

I thought that too!

10-15 Nm wouldn't be high enough either.

Have you tried phoning a Toyota Dealer to ask?

Or looking at the online manuals? (the ones where you pay 3 Euros)

it will be as low as 10 - 15nm as you are bolting into aluminium. you have to be very careful with ally as you can stretch the threads easy. got to go to toyota tomorrow n pick up bolts so try then. :thumbsup:

well i went to pick uplift bolts today but only one had come in, other one should be there tomorrow - nevermind they printed the cylinder head assembly diagram which was good. the lift bolts should be torqued to 7.5nm. :thumbsup:

the bolts where 52p each from toyota. i can post the diagram if you tell me how to do it! :thumbsup:

only 2 bolts - get the missus to scan them and see if i can upload.
