the oil seals for the driveshafts are the main ones but even if the box is wet it may be the cam cover gasket

yeah i got under it last night and its not coming from any of the drive shafts it seems to be comeing down the back of the engine which indicates to me that its eithe HEAD GASKET, cam cover gasket or a leaky pipe am i correc in assuming these?

cheers

most likely the cam cover bud (although if that dosnt cure it i have seen an otherwise healthy head gasket leak from that area but it is rare)

Just looked at mine at work this morning. cam cover was leaking from o/s/r corner (not too badly). have fitted new bolts n gaskets n sealed the lot hopefully will be ok. also leak from n/s head-block join :o( and oil collecting on top of gearbox. not loosing any water at the mo just oil really. guno get it done in 2weeks. Couple of things was wondering about:

is hks steel hg the best one to go for? what the genuine one like. and what other bits do I need to change at the same time?

just had cam belt done will need it changing again? Think I will do the hydraulic tensioner but what about belt itself?

Hopefully after this there will be no more suprise leaks

From my understanding the genuine head gasket is pants especially when you tinker with the boost. i had a look at mine and i have a similar leak i think from the same corner of the head. i am also not loosing any water and car is running great. i plan to change mine in march to a steel head gasket but not sure which one yet
