Considering Selling My Car

hi peeps, im off to Holland for bout 2 yrs, gna b going in spring probably and im deciding if to sell my car or not. SUCH a HARD decision, but theirs no point keeping it tbh, saves me from insurance and tax i guess. Well like i said im still deciding.

my other question is, how much u think ill get for my car?

What is the mileage and year?

Cant you declare it sorn off the road (no tax then) and reduce the insurance to fire & theft cover only (no one will drive the car so no accidents can happen)?

But would be a shame to have a car just sitting there for 2 years and I dont even want to think of the depreciation over that time.

Wow mate i'm pretty sure you've a pretty penny on that car.

If the car is declared off the road and is on a driveway i'm pretty sure you dont need insurance on it. I dont think you can insure a car over 5k on 3rd party either (unless thats what you value it at with the insurance).

That's a bit of a shame if you sell, your car looks the mutts. Would be a waste just sitting there for 2 years though, thats a long time.

Well i dont wanna let it sight in the garage for 2 years bcos thats not good for the engine, all cars need to run every now and then. Also like most of u lot said, itll depreciate quite a bit within the 2 yrs, so i wanna sell the car and and get the current moneys worth so in 2 years time i can buy another car with that amount of money. Im probs gna hav a few ppl who wanna KILL ME wen i tell u wot car i wanna get wen i get bak. Id really wanna get a Megane Sport, i hav a soft spot for it, and im sure most of u hav seen the advert it just makes me wanna hav it even more. But id probs change my mind after 2 years.

Ive pretty much decided im gna sell the car now id say bout 80% towards selling it

So n e 1 hav n e idea how much id get for my car? its done just ova 27k but im sure by the time i sell it, itll probs b nearer to the 30k mark, Completly standard, mite leave KW coilovers on though, and OBVIOUSLY well looked after.

You'll find that your CTS will still fetch a good price with that mileage, best bet is have a look round on Autotrader to get some ideas of prices!

And you might be better off returning it to stock and selling the mods separate, you'll probably get more for them that way.
