Ta22 Flatlight

Hi all I'm looking at buying a TA22 flatlight - back at the end of the '70s when I was driving a Escort 1100 they seemed really cool. Still do :) When I look at one, what are the main points I should look for? Stuff like what goes wrong, where they rust, likely mech. defects etc. Also confirmation that they are OK on unleaded. Any info would be much appreciated. Any guide about price would be welcome also. Practical Classics suggests £3200 for condition one - is that fair? Thanks
