lol we just had an earthquake in uk .... from nottingham to manchester it was definately felt in under 2 seconds flat.... mad feeling

I felt it here, crikey nearly dropped my laptop, some bits fell and smashed, am rather shakey, was at least 5/6secs been watching to the news to see what the scale was

heh... yup sky news saying they don't know where epi centre was yet.

I thought the russians had started with something for a minute lol

Yep, the earth moved for us in East Yorkshire as well

Closest thing I can describe it as would be like being on a building site right next to the pile driver, only it lasts for 3/4 seconds.

I put the local radio on and you should have heard some of the drama queens calling in..........Tarts!

lol i must have been shocked, missed all the earth moved jokes and opportunities..lol. No real damage for us just broken glass,was weirdly exciting, but was frightening at the same time and yes there were some drama queens on the TV, "it was like the house was made of paper" maybe sh elives in a cardboard box

I'm at uni in Hull, practically right at the epicenter. I thought our accomodations was comming down, lasted around 10 seconds, rumbling gradually increasing, until one huge lurch. I was half asleep, and though it was the Girl next door at first, then a Sub, then a Ghost , then just thought the building was collapsing, lots of creaking... I went out and everyone in the block was coming onto the landings too.

I heard the wardrobes moving & basically felt my whole room shaking a bit but I was asleep in bed at the time & it sort of woke me up just enough to be aware of what was happening. I decided if it was anything important I'd find out soon enough so went straight back to sleep, I'd pretty much forgot about it until my mum mentioned it when I went downstairs in the morning

epicentre was in Market Raisen, Lincolnshire, registered 5.2 on the richter scale, didn\t feel owt in Dartford though, wasw on my dinner at that time lol

I felt it, thought bizarrely a bomb had gone off at first as heard emergency services vehicles going past the house and then deadly silence!
