hi all

recently got a 1.6vvti corolla. Driving on the motorway noticed that at roughly above 77mph the steering wheel began to shudder(vibrate). I assumed it was balancing and got the front wheels balanced today , the vibration is still there not as bad but still there, any ideas what the possible problem is?? :(

many thanks

paul

i think so, i had a vibration problem once with my corolla, the vibrations were felt/noticed the most during 30mph, and i went to the mechanics and he basically said if it vibrates at low speed its something more serious than just my wheels being unblanced, however if it occured at speeds at 60/70mph it is generally something simple like balancing!! although dont quote me on that!! :D

cheers mate, had them rebalanced and swaped from left to right and that seems to have got rid of the problem, i think i will get the rears re-balanced when i change the fronts in about 1000 miles.

if problem still exists after balancing, might be alignment problem
