can anyone out there help me

the toyota avensis i have has a sun roof which is working fine and the "reading bulb"?(i think thats what its called) is also working fine. The problem is that the light wont come on when the door is opened. Is the door light controlled by its own fuse or could there be another fault or what do i look for?

The "reading bulb" is not supposed to come on when the door is opened. Only the light in the centre of the roof does this.

If it is this centre light you are having a problem with and it works ok manually, then you should check the sensor in the door.
