as ive already said before i run on used cooking oil in my hilux,

I got fed up with all the empty drums you get when running on used cooking oil, as I don't have lots of space to keep them.

So I brought a 7 ton Hydraulic log splitter off eBay,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=007

got my welder out and some plate 2 hours later I have a working drum crusher :)

Crushed 30 plus drums already with out a hitch, makes them perfect sized disks about 7 times smaller. i'm sure i could put a load in at once and get it even smaller but no need. Hope to weigh them in now more at a time so its worth the trip.

here is a video of it in action plus some pics:

That very inventive and money making all at the same time. :P A win/win situation.

Ever thought about filling the drum with jelly before crushing it? Could make it even more interesting!

no to jelly or custard but i have just crushed 10 drums all of which were half for of solid fatty waste, worse than jelly or custard. I have had to fit it on a drum bunding that holds over 20 litres, plus sides to stop the spray hiting me and going all over the lock up :) i also put my rubbish bags in it tonight and made them so small
