Avensis 1.8 Vvti Gs - Aftermarket Cd Changer

Hi there,

just bought myself a 2000 Avensis GS with the integrated SatNav and the like. Now the question: I've seen options to install aftermarket CD changers for use with the existing Head Unit.

Does anyone know the Head Unit part number for this model so that I can be sure to get a fitting one? (I like the idea of MP3s in the car, you know)...

Hi mate, i have a 2002 avensis GS myself and have been looking for a facia adaptor to fit an after market unit. I am not particularly fused with the a trip computer etc and my Sat Nav has been uninstalled. The main reason i want to fit an after market unit is to have ipod + bluetooth functions. Although i have been told you can remove the factory unit and fit an after market one without a facia adaptor the downside being you will have some gaps on each side if you can live with that.

please let me know how you get on?
