Hi all,

just wanted to say Hi and ask for some advice on good value upgrades.

I bought a Thunder Grey T Sport last week after down grading for reasons of economy from a Civic Type R EP3. I've gotta say the Yaris is the business and has really impressed me. it's like a proper little hot hatch.

It could do with some more top end power but unfortunately I don't fancy going too crazy changing Cams or ECU VVTI controller or going down the forced induction route. I'd rather keep it subtle with some minor upgrades to help it breathe and therefore improve throttle response. Can anyone recommend a standard high performance filter element to fit the standard air box is is it far better to install a K & N Typhoon filter instead. Equally any good Cat back exhausts which do not increase the noise levels?

I have already bought a set of Dunlop SP Sport 01 195/50/15 Fast response tyres to upgrade the grip over the standard sized 185/55/15's which are some goofey economy brand and pretty dire in the wet. I also wat to upgrade the brakes, WHat are the EBC grooved disks and EBC pads like?

To be honest the Yaris is blowing me away anyway and in truth doesn't really need messing with. It's just nice to drive a car that is raw and pure without any major nanny state ASC or other stability control rubbish. It reminds me of the Civic and even my old Corolla GT Coupe (AE86 RWD) I owned about 15 years ago (god I wish I'd kept that car!)

If anyone has other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Yumma
