Faulty Driver's Window Switch

My window switch needs replacing. It doesn't work well at all - loose, bad connection etc.

I am certain that the dealer will charge me a fortune to change it.

It's on a 2 door 2002 D4D.

Any idea if it's possible to do myself?

I don't know where to start really and don't want to do any irrepairable damage when I try to access it.

With Thanks

Nick

May be worth removing it and cleaning the terminals before getting a new one. If you need details of removal, I can look in the Haynes manual for you. B)

It's definitely broken. It is quite loose - when my wife uses it she is quite heavy handed with it so it's not surprising!! However I shall look at terminals first.

Of course the trouble is - I don't know how to remove it neatly. A quote from your Haynes would be really apreciated. The car is so reliable it has never needed anything doing before (82k) that hasn't come under bits and pieces needed for MOTs and services. Haven't needed a Haynes yet.
