2,000 Miles

Hi all,

I know that a lot of bad things has been said about the french built Yaris, but to date I can not complain !!! ( Hopefully I have'nt spoke too soon !! )

Having done nearly 2,000 miles with an average mpg of over 50 ( from a 1300 cc ) I am very pleased so far.

I know a lot of people are saying that the finish etc. of new Toyota's is not as good as the older ones, but you must compare like with like as well as the cost of the older model when they were new !

My first Toyota was a 1000 model made in 1976, is was mostly painted metal on the inside with plastic seat coverings.

My 1988 Corolla 1300 was the best finish Toyota I have ever owned, but when new it cost over £10,000. ( 20 years ago !! ) With inflation that car would be nearer £20,000.
