4e-fe Slight Problem

I have a 4E-FE Corolla and we just rebuilt it. I think though that the Intake cam need to be set(not sure but this is wat i think. Once the car reaches operational temperature it starts breathing like a V-TECH. If it is shut off, it wouldn't key start. but the car performs really great. Any suggestions.
