Hi all,

iv tried searching b4 i get my wrists slapped!

Basically im planning on painting my brake calipers. Iv seen some in yellow and they look sick!

Anyway I was hoping someone could tell me what paint to use...

iv heard good things about Hammerite and heard the caliper paint is to$$.

Would I actually have 2 take the wheels off 2 paint them?

Thanks in advance.

hammerites probably your best bet- i used red hammerite straight on to the callipers but had a bit of bother making it stick- so youre best giving them a good clean, use a primer and then spraying them with hammerite

you have to take the wheels off but you dont have to take the callipers off cause any hammerite that goes on your discs will wipe straight off

To make a proper job of it it is best to remove the wheels and clean down the callipers to get rid of any brake dust and muck.

My youngest son has successfully used Hammerite on his (Non Toyota) brake callipers.

It is not a job that you should rush if you want to make it look good..............At least two coats were needed on my sons car with drying time in between.

Be careful not to get paint on the moving parts.
