I own a yaris 1.3 v reg, and I could do with some help, the story goes ............

the engine management light came on, car was holding back slightly, and lacked power at about 60 mph,

when I pulled up at a junction the engine was ticking over at 2000 rpm and sounded like a motorbike.

I turned it off and restarted, the car was fine for about 10 miles then management light came on again and stayed on.

has a diagnostic check and needed engine coolant temp sensor and cam sensor, replaced both, but problem still there.

took the car to toyota, they read the fault as the vvti controller with has also been repaced, and management system was reset.

after about 2 miles light came back on again, toyota then had car back again, re set system, but problem still there as light back on again with the same syptoms.

please can you help ?

thanks

When you say VVT controller are you talking the solonoid valve in the oil ways of the actual VVT unit bolted on the front of the Cam?
