I think I have one last question before I join (but dont quote me) If there are no local Toyota dealers offering discounts to a member, do the ones offering discounts do mail order??

Is there a current list of toyota Dealers who are part of the discount scheme?

Like say...Knaresborough?! (Harrogate)

Don't these places like advertise...the discounts avaliable?!! I've never seen anything to sugest as such...my dealer hates me <imported YTS> and I hate them for the cheek of charging over the odds for everything...but a warranty is a warranty...and I must say in their defense...they have always done a good job...so may based on the service ( to the car...not to me!!!) may pay a little extra.

£25 quid ya say.....hmmm you may have got a sale!

we do not advertise our discounts... purely by the amount of work and cost it takes trying to get these discounts on board.

Image us writing to 180 dealers every few months.. slowly they are joining up but the amount of work and costs for this is quite alot.

Some dealer s are a bit lazy to request the card.. we again have to write and remind them

not only do we give the discounts but your account is upgraded... 500 PM messages allowed in your inbox... only 40 allowed on basic accounts.

Gold also has its own forums.. a private area that is actually 99% unmoderated. We like to have a laugh from time to time.

Some meets like the Toyota Factory Tour was only available to goldies too. If we get some good deals then goldies also get first priority.

We try our best and dead friendly bunch!

I think it may be the price that puts some people off. It certainly put me off for a while, as the discount scheme wasnt going to be much of a benefit as Ive brought more or less everything for my car. And £25 seemed a bit too much to join just for the sake of joining.

I have now joined, purely as I had £25 left on my credit card balance and thought Id give it a go.

I have to say the list of discount schemes were actually quite amazing, car and non car specific.

Im trying to make the effort to spend more time on here and get to know the folks, but it all depends on how busy work is, as im on call 24/6.

I think the subscription cost is just right.. most clubs charge £25 mark and offer nothing in return but a few stickers. Thats up ro members if they see it worthy.. . I myself am a member of another Toyota site... because I found the information for my car was so good that I thought it was worth while the £25

We actually go out and try and bring in more deals... we are going to push for a load more too so watch this space.

There is one deal that is missing and thats the madam taussauds deal with 20% off tickets throughout the whole chain.. we are awaiting the 2004 information!

See for me it was a strange decision, as 1.I wont really get any tech help on here for my car, and 2. as i said before, 99% of bits for my car have been brought so the discount scheme wasnt a real benefit. There may well be other people in my situation and so they just need a shove in the right direction :D

Now if you could get a discount scheme for either Sound Performance or Boost Logic then that would be fantastic :thumbsup: :D
